GoPatrol is a small cell-phone sized device that allows the operator to monitor the activities of staff or personnel – or even for use in rental cars or vehicles not requiring permanent installation. This product was designed for security personnel, so-called “bobbies on the beat”, children, the elderly, or staff requiring the ability to interact in real-time with a control room. A fixed panic button on the unit allows for contact to be made with pre-defined numbers or email addresses. Through full two-way voice communication via the built-in cell-phone, the units offer control of your staff and your fleet!

Vehicle tracking data moves along the following flow:
1. Orbiting GPS satellites send signals to the Geotab portable Unit
2. This data is forwarded over existing GPRS networks to Geotab’s ultra-secure server hosted by UUNet
3. The user then simply logs onto his software and reviews the data from his portable devices
