The full power of Geotab is coupled to the absolute  convenience of pure Live tracking: vehicle data is transmitted second-by-second to your desk using available GPRS (GSM) networks. With a time-delay of approximately four seconds, GoLive gives back control to security, courier, service and police & emergency  fleets by providing pure live data without any need for clumsy polling and SMS requests used by other systems

Vehicle tracking data moves along the following flow:
1. Orbiting GPS satellites send signals to the Geotab Vehicle Unit
2. This data is forwarded over existing GPRS networks to Geotab’s ultra-secure server hosted by UUNet.
3. The user then simply logs onto the Geotab server via the internet and downloads the data from his vehicles
